Firefox 4 ihas just been officially released

is available for download, trashes IE9 in download counts.

Mozilla foundation announced today the official release of FIREFOX4, the much awaited for newest version of the popular Internet browser. Firefox4, like its precedeccesor supports Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.

Firefox4 is localised in over 80 languages. It sports a new user interface (Firefox now has App Tabs and Panorama), increased user customizability and new privacy features like DoNot Track and Content Security Policy.

Firefox 4 really shines in terms of speed, compared to its predecessors, it is between two and six times faster than its previous versions.

There have been considerable advancement iFirefox Javascript engine. 

These enhancements to the JavaScript engine make everything just run faster, from page load to normal navigation activities.

UPDATE: Firefox4 trashes Explorer 9 badly: 7.1 Million downloads for Firefox 4 against puny 2.3 million downloads for IE9.

Microsoft is loosing serious clout, with their decision not to support Windows XP anymore. Most savy XP users have long decided to migrate to something else, and this something else is not a Microsoft OS.  Milking their Users periodically as Microsoft was accustomed to is not anymore the way to go.
